Almost done...

Okay, here goes...

This is tough. I will post more later - good or bad!

Finally, I feel like a human being!!

I'm going to start some small paintings today. Something a little different. Lynn loves cows and I am going to try to do some 8" x 10" primitives for her. We'll see how it goes. Here I am in my studio. If I like my efforts, I'll post the results here!

The coldest day this year...

We have company coming today, Lynn's oldest brother and his family. We are going to a local steakhouse to eat. It is supposed to get colder and windier as the day progresses. It started out at 32 degrees.

I promised to post the drawing of Luis but I have not been able to get back to work on it (we have a HUGE project at work) so I am posting another recent work instead. This is one of my bosses, Mike Carter. This is a pastel on a prepared board (gesso and pumice on foamcore) and measures about 18" x 24".

A wintry mix...

And it really is. Yesterday was 60 degrees. Today the temps dropped all day and it is sleeting right now. Everything is getting a thin coat of ice on it. It is pretty nasty.

Be safe tomorrow if you have to get out.

Craft Day!!

What a great day! The weather was warm and windy but at least it looked like winter - overcast and gray. We made jewelry and origami boxes and cookies and kalacs (a tasty Hungarian pastry). I worked on a colored pencil sketch of Luis which I will post here soon. We ate wonderful food - cranberry salad, roast pork, turkey kielbasa soup, stuffed shells, hard rolls and cornbread and a cherry blackberry pie with Granny Smith apples. All homemade! We ate good! I am sharing some photos to show what a good time we had.

First day of the weekend...

...the possibilities are endless, right?? I always have so many plans for my weekend and rarely get even half the things done that I want to do. I'm still working on my website. I'm pretty happy with it but am always thinking of things I want to change.

Tomorrow I am having a "craft day" with some friends and I am looking forward to that. Good company, great food and arts and crafts - it doesn't get much better.

More later...
